Dr. Deb Walters, Ph.D., M.Div., BSW., BCC., LPC.,

Deb Walter is a Certified Enneagram Specialist, Grief Care, Marriage and Family, and Spiritual Support. She is a professional grief expert who works with awareness needs in spiritual care and grief support. She is a reliable colleague and collaborative consultant on challenging cases for other professionals’ colleagues. She has served and aided her own clientele to find healing after loss. And in the work of educational enrichment and bereavement support programs Dr. Deb has offered specialized retreats, and seminars. Dr. Deb is ordained clergy and Christian Spirituality Author of Living Boldly and Dying Well and Generous Grief.

 

Counselor

Jane M. Sheppard

Jane M. Sheppard is a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2010. She received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 1978 from Georgia College. In 2004, she received her master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. She began her career as a counselor working for the Department of Corrections in 1996. In 2005, she began working as a Mental Health Counselor for the DOC. Jane worked with the mentally ill clients that required extra supervision. In 2010, she left the Department and began teaching Psychology at Central Georgia Technical College where she remained until her retirement in 2022 after working for the State of Georgia for 25 years. It is Jane’s passion to facilitate groups, offer counseling support, and help others become more self-aware and self-assured in their circumstances, which is why she now serves part-time with the MCCC.

 

Pastoral and Marriage Counselor

Tim Thomas, Pastoral and Marriage Counseling, MA

Tim Thomas is the Lead Pastor at Freedom Church in Milledgeville, GA. He holds a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling. He specializes in spiritual formation, premarital, marriage, and family counseling.

Counselor

Helen Jackson is a license professional counselor with over 20 years experience.

She specializes in juveniles and adults in mental health concerns; including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and facilitates groups. She works with colleagues in educational forums to help people become self aware and self assured in their seeking support and clarity in their lives.

Counselor

Mari Mullis

Mari Mullis is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. Mari holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University and has worked as a Pastoral Counselor at a Level I Trauma hospital. Prior to starting her journey to become a Professional Counselor, Mari worked at a pregnancy center providing peer counseling to young women in crisis pregnancy situations.

Mari is able to integrate faith and spirituality into client sessions if that is desired. She has worked with clients college-age and up facing life adjustments, trauma, anxiety/depression, end of life, and coping with grief.  Mari offers a caring, non-judgmental, safe space for clients to process feelings and circumstances so that they may heal and move forward.
